Zuzanna Skiba's conceptual oil paintings and drawings are a fusion of mental landscape painting and cartography. The artist incorporates her impression of the world with all its topographical, political and personal information into the creation of her works. Her paintings are graceful narratives that are often created in series. In the works, Zuzanna's combined view is depicted from different perspectives: from above, from below, as well as from the middle. This creates the fascination of an endless cycle in the picture. The artist's CV is adorned with numerous international awards and exhibitions. We met in Berlin in 2018 and Zuzanna's impressive stories about how she came to art as a young woman also ignited my fire for art.
